Why I started Fair Office
I’m doing this for the employees I worked with on my gap year. My bosses treated their businesses like it was their own personal fiefdoms, one made some of my colleagues work overtime without pay, another set up cameras in the workplace to spy on us and both fired people on a whim. The people I worked with couldn’t vote with their feet and leave because they couldn’t risk unemployment when they had families to support. They live in a ‘free’ country but they don’t feel free. Fair Office will transform their lives. They have a safe way of stopping bad management practices. They, and the millions of others like them, will have a voice. They will have some power to change their lives for the better.
Those businesses weren’t getting near the profits they could have achieved because their workers were demoralized. By giving workers some control over their own workplace, they will be happier and more productive, so Fair Office will boost profits for employers. Fair Office also gives employers real-time information about what their employees honestly think about work, so they can quickly neutralize issues and apply their employees’ ideas to improve their businesses.
